Mongolian Delegation Successfully Participates in "Women and Trade" at WTO MC14

Mongolia's delegation successfully participated in the "Women and Trade" side event, co-organized by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Trade Centre (ITC), held on the sidelines of the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference (MC14) in Yaoundé, the capital of the Republic of Cameroon.

The delegation included H.E. D.Gerelmaa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Swiss Confederation; A.Enerel, Head of the Projects and Programs Department of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI); and B.Ankhmaa, Director of the "Anaash" brand and participant of the "Supporting Women Exporters in the Digital Economy (WEIDE)" project. The delegates actively exchanged experiences and views on expanding women entrepreneurs' participation in international trade.

During the session, presentations were made on the results of the WEIDE project — currently being implemented across four countries — as well as the SheTrades Initiative and mechanisms supporting gender equality in trade.
An interactive competition, "100 WEIDE Women Said", was also held, in which teams from four countries competed by identifying the most common survey responses related to women's e-commerce experiences and challenges. Mongolia stood out by most accurately identifying the key challenges and practical solutions facing women entrepreneurs.

In the course of the discussions, A.Enerel, Head of the MNCCI's Projects and Programs Department, presented the Chamber's policies and activities aimed at strengthening the capacity of Mongolian women entrepreneurs and connecting them with international projects and programs. She emphasized the critical importance of international cooperation in supporting export-oriented small and medium enterprises going forward.
This participation marks a significant step toward raising the economic engagement of Mongolian women entrepreneurs and showcasing Mongolia's experience in export development and e-commerce on the international stage.
