MONGOLIAN BUSINESSES ELEVATE COOPERATION WITH THE KURGAN REGION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

A roundtable discussion titled “Mongolian–Russian Business Meeting: Kurgan Region” was successfully organized at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), marking an important step toward strengthening bilateral economic cooperation. During the meeting, leading companies from the Kurgan Region — one of the major industrial and machinery manufacturing centers — presented their advanced technologies and business operations in the fields of construction, mining, infrastructure, and industrial equipment. The parties discussed potential partnerships and opportunities for cooperation in the Mongolian market. Strategically located along the Kazakhstan border, the Kurgan Region is considered an important logistics and transportation hub within the Eurasian economic corridor. Notably, the region holds a significant position in pharmaceutical production in Russia, supplying approximately 30% of the country’s total antibiotic demand. Participants highlighted the strong potential for cooperation between Mongolia and the Kurgan Region in healthcare, pharmaceutical supply, and technology transfer.

The roundtable was moderated by Ms. E. Solongo, Head of the Foreign Relations and Cooperation Department. MNCCI President Mr. B. Lkhagvajav and Mr. Ilya V. Nazarenko, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kurgan Region, discussed future collaboration and other opportunities.

In addition, MNCCI Secretary-General Ms. B. Saruul delivered a comprehensive presentation on Mongolia’s business and investment environment, introducing concrete opportunities for foreign partners.
