MONGOLIA–CHINA B2B MEETING BOOSTS BILATERAL TRADE AND INVESTMENT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – Over 230 Mongolian and 60 Chinese companies came together at a Mongolia–China business-to-business (B2B) meeting, held as part of a joint investors’ event, to explore new opportunities for collaboration, investment, and practical projects across multiple sectors.

At the opening ceremony, Ts. Magnaibaatar, Executive Director of the MNCCI, highlighted that the meeting provided a key platform for connecting Mongolian and Chinese business communities, facilitating mutual exchange of experience, and supporting tangible investments. He emphasized the importance of regular dialogue in strengthening trade and investment ties and addressing shared business challenges.

While cooperation between Mongolia and China has traditionally focused on mining, recent developments show growing collaboration in agriculture and food industries. Enhanced policy alignment between governments and closer engagement among public institutions have also paved the way for deeper, results-driven partnerships.

Participants discussed concrete business opportunities and potential joint projects, marking a significant step toward open and mutually beneficial economic cooperation. Bilateral trade between Mongolia and China has surged over the past decade, reaching USD 16.5 billion—nearly 80 percent of Mongolia’s total foreign trade. This growth stressed the importance and dynamism of the Mongolia–China economic relationship.
