President of MNCCI, Amartuvshin.O, meets with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Latvia to Mongolia, Maya Manika

At the onset of the meeting, which was held on 28th March, 2023, they reached an agreement to work closely together to augment the trade turnover between Mongolia and the Republic of Latvia, and to widen the scope of their business cooperation.

The President of MNCCI, Amartuvshin.O stated that the branch chamber of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to be soon opened in Brussels, Belgium, will bring forth concrete outcomes in the progression of trade and business relationships with European Union countries.

The parties referenced the efficacious functioning of a milk and dairy products joint venture by the Republic of Latvia in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and brought to attention potential prospects for cooperation in Mongolia's milk and dairy products industry.

Ambassador Maia Manika acknowledged the Republic of Latvia's support and willingness to cooperate in the domain of information technology and forestry. It was mentioned that the timing of Mongolian students' education in Latvian universities, including aviation, is appropriate due to the inauguration of Chinggis Khan Airport in Khoshig Valley.

In 2022, the trade turnover of both countries reached 4 million US dollars, with our country's import being 48.2 thousand US dollars and export being 3.520 million US dollars.
