Kuwait-Mongolia Business Forum was successfully held
The Mongolian-Kuwait Business Forum was held on March 8, 2023, in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Mongolian Embassy in Kuwait, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Mongolian delegation included the Ambassador of Mongolia to Kuwait, Sergelen.P, foreign policy advisor to the President of Mongolia, Odbayar.E, the CEO of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Duuren.T, and over 30 representatives from private businesses. They were joined by Honorary Deputy Treasurer of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fahad Yakub Al-Jouan and the same number of business representatives.
Duuren.T introduced Mongolia's economic, foreign trade conditions, and investment projects, and expressed that the MNCCI will work with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote bilateral trade and investment, and to provide assistance to Mongolian and Kuwaiti businesses seeking to expand their operations in both countries.
Through the business forum, a Memorandum of understanding was signed between the chambers of commerce of Mongolia and Kuwait., According to the memorandum, the Chambers of Commerce will provide assistance in establishing business relations, exchanging information, participating in national and international exhibitions and conferences, and working together on sales conditions, market research and analysis for companies and businessmen from both countries.
After the business forum, participating enterprises from the Mongolian side used the opportunity to organize an exhibition, conduct face-to-face meetings, present their business proposals, and conclude effective negotiations.
In a statement made at this forum, the Ambassador noted that Kuwait as a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council has become Mongolia's first diplomatic partner in the region. It was emphasized that the friendly and good political relations between the two countries in the past will be the basis for future economic, trade, investment, health, sports, tourism, education and environmental cooperation. In addition, the Mongolian Embassy to the Kuwait has expressed its appreciation for Mongolia's efforts to increase meat exports through halal methods and to meet the standards of Arab countries, and has agreed to work together to establish a reliable certification.
Furthermore, Mongolia and Kuwait have signed an air transport agreement, and it has been clarified that the start of direct air transport will open new doors for economic, trade, tourism and cultural relations. The President's advisor, Odbayar.E, emphasized that this event will enhance mutual business interests, as well as foster closer relations between the two countries in the fields of trade, investment, and business.
