Agreement between Mongolia and Japan for an economic partnership

The parties negotiated to conclude an agreement between Mongolia and japan for the economic partnership in 2010, within the framework of ‘Strategy partnership’ between Mongolia and Japan.

The agreement was concluded the result of negotiating with 7 stages for 3 years started from 2012. The objective of this agreement is to increase value added export and value profit of trade, investment, industry sector between the parties, to decrease tariff and non-tariff barriers of Japan, to facilitate trade, to simplify customs clearance.

The agreement has 17 chapters, 10 annexes and trade in goods, rules of origin, customs procedures and trade facilitation, sanitary and phyto sanitary measures, technical regulations, standards and conformity assessment procedures, trade in services, movement of natural persons, electronic commerce, investment, competition, intellectual property, government procurement, improvement of the business environment , dispute settlement, and general provisions and final provisions are regulated by this agreement.
