Mongolia has the potential to fully supply its own domestic vegetable consumption
The President of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, O.Amartuvshin, met Deputy Chairman of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus, Siarhei Nabeshka, to exchange views on bilateral trade, economy of the two countries, cooperation between the chambers, entrepreneurs, wool and cashmere industry and the development of the agricultural sector in the city of Minsk.
Belarus has a highly developed agricultural sector with advanced vegetables and agricultural equipment and four-season greenhouse technology. By properly introducing four-season greenhouse farming and technolgy in Mongolia, 90 percent of vegetable and fruit imports could be halted and replaced by domestic vegetable crops.
The meeting continued with discussions about involving delegations from both countries to participate in major exhibitions that would be arranged in EuroAsia and Mongolia, and the promotion and export of Mongolian cashmere products to Belarus.
