EXPANDING EXPORT OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN-LED ENTERPRISES

The Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) is successfully implementing the Women Exporters in the Digital Economy (WEIDE) project, which aims to support women exporters in the digital economy. This initiative is led by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Trade Centre (ITC).
The selected 42 businesswomen are receiving grant funding, technical assistance, advisory services, and capacity-building training, which enable them to enhance their competitiveness and expand their presence in international markets.
As part of ongoing efforts to support the project’s implementation, MNCCI Secretary General B. Saruul held a meeting with representatives of the WEIDE project’s mentors. During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the progress of project beneficiaries, discussed challenges encountered, and reviewed the activity plan for 2026.
Discussions also highlighted key initiatives such as organizing exhibitions, establishing pop-up stores, promoting best practices developed through the project, and expanding access to financial support opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
Through the implementation of the WEIDE project, MNCCI continues to prioritize expanding women entrepreneurs’ participation in e-commerce and strengthening their export capacity, contributing to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
